Flexible credit card courts technology professionals

Friday December 5, 2003A new credit card that enables users to configure individual preferences online has been launched in Australia. Billed as the first card designed by the technology profession, the Titanium Visa from InTechDirect uses a web based "Control Panel" that interactively adjusts the interest rate, card fee and interest-free period depending on the type of product specified. The card allows customers to chose whether or not to accept components of the product that are usually built-in to a standard package such as travel, purchase, or consumer credit insurance, or rewards point schemes. The survey of more than 1000 people also found that a large percentage of peolple (78%) would apply for their credit card online if flexibility was offered and interestingly, 70 percent said they would prefer to manage all of their banking entirely online.
