August 11, 2007 Taking advantage of the research made in developing the La Sphere, winner of the Best Sound Award at the Consumer Electronics Show, the new 5.1 Eole system by Cabasse consists of five new spherical satellites and a very compact subwoofer. At a fraction of the cost of La Sphere, the new Eole system is sure to be a winner with home theatre and music enthusiasts alike. Using the measurements and calculations from the design of the La Sphere, engineers were able to determine the positioning of the new DOM 18 tweeter in order to provide a coherent sound field with a wide sweet spot.
The new Santorin 21 subwoofer is fitted with a 250w amplifier and a new 8" woofer especially designed for stereo sound and controlled power for home theatre use.
The purity of the spherical shape and accessories all made from aluminium provide style and stability. Accessories available include wall mounting brackets and floor and bookshelf stands all made of aluminium.
The EOLE system retails for AUS$3,500.00 (US$3000) and is available in 3 different finishes - silver, glossy black and glossy.
