Yamaha unveil 11.2 Channel flagship home theater receiver
August 13, 2007 Yamaha have unveiled their latest a new home theatre - the RX-Z11. Aimed at setting a new benchmark in the category, the receiver carries an industry-first THX Ultra2 Plus certification and full HDMI version 1.3a including 1080p resolution with over a billion colors, supporting the latest HD formats for Blu-Ray and HD DVD technology. The 11.2 channel RXZ11 adds front and rear presence speakers to traditional configurations and includes custom install features that suit complex multi-room/zone configurations, powering up to five zones with independent audio sources including two zones with visual content, all controllable via the included zone controller. The RXZ11 also offers high definition video up-conversion from analogue sources, meaning you can enjoy your video library in pristine HD quality.
The RXZ11 has five HDMI inputs including one strategically placed on the front panel. Two HDMI outputs offer the flexibility of sending a full HD signal to either a plasma/LCD or projector. Four component video inputs and two outputs provide extensive high quality video connectivity whilst eight digital audio inputs offer compatibility with a wide variety of digital audio sources. The RXZ11 offers full support for the latest audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus/True HD and DTS High Resolution Audio/Master Audio.
The RXZ11 network capabilities enable access to Internet Radio, music stored on a PC and the included YDS-10S dock gives access to iPod music, images and video files and for non-iPod users. USB inputs on the front and rear panel ensure fast access to other removable storage devices. No matter what the medium, music libraries are conveniently browsed through the Graphical User Interface (GUI) via album, artist, genre or location.
With an expected release date of November 2007 (February 2008 for Australia), pricing for the RXZ11 is to be confirmed.
