Instead of bothering with a hand pump for refilling flat tires, many cyclists instead just use a compressed air cartridge. That said, they still need a set of tire levers in order to remove the tire so that the flat can be fixed. With that in mind, California-based Bar Fly has created a lever that doubles as a CO2 inflator.
Known as the Air Lever, the device accepts any third-party threaded CO2 cartridge, and works with both Schrader and Presta valves.
To use it, you just screw in a cartridge (they cost about $1.50 each), mount the Air Lever on the tire's valve stem, then twist the cartridge further to release and control the air flow. Of course it can also be used for removing and re-installing tires in the traditional fashion, and comes with a second non-inflator lever for that purpose.
