Rest in Peace Vince!

Intolerant of any error. Most flying is, but especially these.... RIP

Yes I saw this sad news yesterday. Certainly a man who lived his (dangerous) passion to the full. If there is a "way to go" for this daredevil, maybe that was it. My thoughts go to his wife and flying partner.
RIP Vince.

So sad...my condolences to his friends, and family.

Why are there no details of what actually happened. If engine or electronics failure, surely the system has a built in blackbox like most modern flight controller systems these days.

@Towerman It's likely that there are details that have been shared with authorities but have not been shared to the public.

All new stuff have pioneers... if we want to safely, individually have our own flying suites, then there will be the pioneers (crazy enough ?) that will have to polish the corners. But I'll tell you, until there are failsafes or smart enough auto controls, I'll stay on the ground, thank you.

Rest in peace sir and condolences and peace to your family and friends.

As sad a story this is, one has a hankering to say live fast, die hard, forever young. When I first saw a video of these two performing these incredible feats, I did think that sooner or later, one or both of them would die for their passion. This is what happens when you live close to the edge. It's so tempting for the human spirit to take it to the next level. I feel for his loved ones, because they have to carry this weight.
