I love that they are using the BMW 6 cylinder motor but why would they take it's shaft drive out and replace it with a chain drive? That some how just cheapens it for me?
LordInsidious
Why wouldn't they make an electric version?

I really do like the idea of a reverse trike, It's light weight, quick, great fuel economy. The down side, now that the fiberglass motorcycle has joined with BMW, the already expensive vehicle will be overpriced even further.

I really like my Can-Am Spyder for its handling, safety and style. That said, by the time you add side by side seating, so much horsepower to be transmitted to the ground through a relatively small tire patch, and sheer bulk, you might as well add that fourth tire. Works fine for other minimalist road rockets like the Ariel Atom, X-Bow and a few others.

@Gargamoth I agree the T-rex sells at base of 45-50K and is not even a closed cabin and is way to expensive for most....a disappointment!

I wish one of these companies would treat these three wheelers like less like a motorcycle and more like a commuter car. What I mean by that would be something higher riding (easier to see) and be enclosed with heating. Besides that it is a beautiful design....

Cool, but $60,000? I can buy a brand new car for less than $17k, this should cost 10-15k tops.

Motorcycle experiences for people who are afraid of motorcycles.

I wish some company would come out with a vehicle with this basic form factor, but fully enclosable and with just moderate horse power at a reasonable price--I'm sure they would sell well.

An electric version would cost a lot more, be short ranged, and be hard to find fast refueling.
