O.K. so if this is the most efficient car they've ever made what IS it's MPG? Not one word on that subject?

It's a 1000 hp car how many miles could it possibly do. Not trying to bash Ferrari but they don't have to prove anything to anybody. no green head would ever buy a ferrari, hybrid or not.

Europeans are learning what Japanese already know. Hybrids are a delightful way to go for the most performance - and still deliver acceptable mileage for the storm under your butt.
McLaren's latest P1 in Geneva offers the same.
BTW, Phil, though I've been an activist on the enviro streets since the first Earth Day, I've been a Ferrari fan even longer. Though I'm ancient enough to know that - if I had the bucks - I'd probably get an Audi TTRS. I'd get in less trouble.

Driving a 1000 hp car is like riding a tornado. Almost impossible to control. Anyone who isn't a VERY specially trained and experienced driver would be committing suicide driving one of these! And where would one drive such a beast? Surly not on the roads and highways with normal folks...

@JAT. Okay then. Just let me drive it normally on local roads and highways will be just fine while you continue taking the bus :)

I like it, Super cars hypecars don't get any real mileage, this should hopefully do mpgs' worth mentioning in future articles. Nice to see Mc Laren building a hybrid, the p1 is hot too. More fuel efficient cars should be on the rise considering fuel prices and hopefully manfacturers will take a styling queue from these guys.

Not that it matters to people that can afford a Ferrari but electric hybrid is the most expensive way to get those extra 161 horses. They could get them through turbo compounding, turbocharging, flywheel energy recovery, pneumatic energy recovery, or hydraulic energy recovery.
