Would I be correct in assuming that in the absence of adequate ventilation that air purification is one way of controlling the atmosphere in a confined space? If a system that met HEPA H14 classification was installed, would this be a solution?

In other words, it acts like every other cold out there. (Coronavirii are colds, along with Rhinovirii.)

UV kills most viruses. Sufficient air filtration with UV (which most modern public systems have) will reduce the spread greatly.

It's important to note that the mythical "superspreader" event hasn't happened, even when hundreds of thousands of people are present.

And that those aerosol particles are smaller than the mesh in any mask you can buy. Which is why "4-8 weeks of masks" didn't work and hasn't worked in a year, and won't work if it's attempted for the next 50 years.

What, no free debate? Bet if he finds he has Covid-19 he will ask for the FLCCC protocols; in which case would make him a hypocrite. :)

Are the widely used cotton masks effective against aerosols? It seems to me the mask mandates have been advocated as a a way to prevent droplet spreading.

I’m feeling a little frustrated with all the “expert” advice given on this subject. When you listen to the advice of many experts it just confuses the public and causes fear and stress. They (experts) might be better advised to be quiet on a subject until there is irrefutable proof. When you get one body of “experts “ saying things contrary to another body of “experts” just what is the public supposed to think?

So we thought it's bad on Mars, our air here is likely to kill us first, regardless of how many masks we use & how often we wash our hands. If our immune system isn't fighting for us because we sanitize so much for so long, maybe we need to rethink this.

wtf? who doesn't know that covid is airborne? find me one person on this planet who doesn't know that.

I had Covid last December, for me it was simply a cold. No one in my social group was symptomatic within the following 30 days (or since), so I feel confident I did not spread the virus. I think it’s time for Government and “experts” to stand down and leave us to determine our own fate. If one feels the need to wear a mask and slather a gob of gel in every time the pass a dispenser, have at it. I have a stellar immune system, probably because I grew up in the country and played in the dirt... I neither want or need help or advice on the matter.

@Pablo, It's not really just about you or your immune system. Covid for most people isn't too bad but it's elderly and people with pre-existing conditions that get hit hard by it. It has indeed killed off a significant number of sick and elderly. In the US COVID caused the most signifiant drop in life expectancy since WWII. It reduced life expectancy for white Americans by a year and for black Americans by 2.7 years. I recognize this is a complex issue but it's hard to just shrug at the death of half a million people in the US and 3 million worldwide. It's also important to note that out of the many that live some of them experience permanent damage from their battle with the virus and they are not among the statistics for casualties.

I think I'm pretty literate but this article confused me even more. I'm glad I have my vaccine.
