It is difficult to not be cynical about any "Medical" Journal these days. I prefer to review "UpToDate", which is unbiased and not supported by a biased political interest.

The Lancet gets its funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

That foundation has been very "pro-democratic" and "anti-republican" (I know - huge irony, right) in many of its statements and activities.

It is therefore reasonable to question the validity of anything published by the Lancet, where Billionaires and their "Foundations" can pressure a Medical Journal to retract a publication as an exercise in political activism.

Hydroxychloroquine used with Azithromycin and Zinc has been used successfully in treatment of patients with Covid19. The drug was never meant to be used as a preventative measure but as a viable and valid treatment method. I thought the basis for the prevention hypothesis was finding that preexisting users of HCQ were observed to have lower infection rates. The U Minn cohort were all exposed before the first dose.

When scientific journals and such started refusing to publish papers which disagreed with their agendas, SCIENCE lost heavily. This is a direct result of the politicization of science, folks.
