I rarely drive anywhere as I don't make many journeys that I can't cycle, but I'm a little bit in love with those IDx concepts.

The IDx NISMO reminds me of the first gen Skyline. I'll be keeping my eye on it.

That IDx Nismo is SEXY.

Is it just me, or does the IDx look like a gussied-up Dodge Charger?

More flame surfacing ala Chris Bangle and BMW. I love it but agree it is a little over wrought. The IDx concept is not great looking to my eye but I love the proportions and the direction it lead.

I don't know where Nissan gets it's demographics from but any young person these days isn't looking at paying $30,000. for a new car, they are paying off tuitions, cycling or just trying to survive. These designs are clearly not aimed at the North American market or at the future of next generation transportation. There's a reason French Automobiles don't sell in North America - FUGLY. Nissan needs a new design team along the lines of Peter Shryer.

Hmmm, the front end of the IDx looks very much like it is inspired by the Peugeot 505 (not necessarily a bad thing- although a conservative design, the 505 shape never really aged). Back end looks a bit Peugeotty (if that is a word...) not really sure if the tech-savvy crowd are really looking for a stripped-out aesthetic though, not unless it is concealing a lot of hidden functionality- but then I was born in 1969 so I wouldn't really know.

The IDx concepts are great! Remind me a bit of a 510 or first generation Celica. Simple, fun cars. I used to rally a 510, do you think I can find one now for sale? One of these would fit that bill nicely.
