While some people take off-the-shelf supplements, others use products that are formulated to their own unique nutritional needs. According to the folks at Boston-based startup FitNatic, however, that's still not specific enough. Their Nourish device keeps track of its user's states of health and fitness, then serves up nutritional supplements that are custom-blended on a daily basis.

Using Wi-Fi and/or NFC, Nourish is able to sync with popular fitness trackers, food loggers and health apps – examples of compatible devices include FitBit, Jawbone UP, Apple Watch, and Garmin. Via an accompanying iOS/Android app, users also stipulate their fitness and health goals, along with various physiological stats.

Utilizing that information, the machine then mixes and matches powdered vitamins, minerals and herbs that are contained within its 16 RFID-tagged "Seeds." Each one of these contains enough servings for approximately one month of daily use, and the app lets users know when any of the Seeds are running low. It's also possible to set up an automated home delivery system for refills, plus the app can suggest other types of Seeds that may better help the user to meet their goals.

The resulting user- and day-specific blend of powders is dispensed into the "Nourish Pod" – a 70-gram silicone cup with a funnel on the bottom. From there, the concoction is emptied into a glass of water, then mixed and consumed.

Along with the app, Nourish can also be controlled hands-on via a 15-inch Retina HD touchscreen.

FitNatic is currently raising production funds for the device, on Indiegogo. A pledge of US$299 will currently get you a Nourish, when and if they're ready to go. The planned retail price is $649.You can see a prototype in action, in the pitch video below.

The Underling Question is, "What the Hell Is It". A 3-D Food Protein Resequenser Printer or a "Tang" Processor.

If they're using fitbit information, I can pretty much guarantee that the "tracking" part of it is a gimmick. Now, if they were to somehow manage to formulate your supplements based on your weight and your lean body mass, then we'd be talking about a real health benefit.

I was waiting for this to come out for a loooong time. Just improve diet combining system - maybe basing on some medical examination like blood from your finger and "toilet content". Once it is done I will never have to worry about cooking at home again - means saving thousands on kitchen home equipment as well as hours of preparations, cooking and dish washing! Just cant wait too have it.
