Maybe I missed something, but wasn't battery life mentioned?
I consider battery life one of the top, if not THE top, thing to consider when buying a phone.

Sounds nice, but its acceptability depends largely on what you use your smartphone for. In my case, about 80% of my phone's usage involves music, so this phone, with its 2 GB storage wouldn't work for me. Which is too bad as it sounds like an otherwise terrific product. Minimalist is the way to go.

Although the battery life is not mentioned specifically, the 31% more because of the curved back might be very tempting, especially to the hordes of road warriors who are ever in search of a place to charge their device.

I will check it out in the store, but it looks likely to be my first choice. I love the hands free thing especially for getting places and dealing with calls. I'm a professional so the storage thing is no issue. Thanks for the review. Now, if Verizon will get their tail in gear, I can check it against the S4 and One.

What's the price unlocked. Also, instead of saying "Okay, google now" 3 times, they should have made it so that you have to say "Biggie Smalls" 3 times.

... Ram is for CPU access not programs.... what's the internal SD card? all phones come with an internal SD. Other official specs list the internal SD card as a choice between a 16GB and 32 GB for the motoX, which is reasonable.
Also the ok google now sounds awesome... this is actually a feature on samsung which has their own app similar to googlenow... you wakeup the phone with any pass phrase and then go to an app similar to google now in which you can schedule on your calendar, text, call, search the net, etc. Being integrated with google now though is better, however I have to give Kudos to Samsung for coming up with this first.
Also what are cores for a contextual core? I've never heard of any other phone having this.... This phone sounds like it has 2 dual core processors, and a quad core GPU for graphics, which I've never heard of another smart phone using. Honestly it sounds like it is set up very well and is an extremely powerful phone, but I'd need a technical review.

Yours is the first review of the Moto X that addresses the ONLY important issue, the total user experience. Congratulations to you for taking the time to exercise the phone enough to get a genuine feel for it's usefulness. Your omission of battery life was revealing. Only if charging is an annoyance does battery life become important.

Nicholas, those extra cores are to help keep the battery usage in check, since it is dedicated to listen and aware of where you are ie. in the car or in the pocket.

Without at a 64GB option or a SD card this phone is useless to me. When are manufacturers going to understand that we do not always have cell coverage which sort of makes cloud storage useless!

I was really looking forward to this device, but then I read the Moto X vs the LG G2.
The LG has a faster processor that's quad core (vs Moto's dual core), and both higher resolution cameras.
All things being equal, I'd probably buy the LG for my Girlfriend, and load "MobiStealth" app and a few games on it. This way, I can track her down, like the NSA would.
But if MobiStealth can somehow tap into the hardware when it's idle, and transcribe sounds around her, I may go with the Moto.
