The hardest part of any morning (apart from maybe getting out of the warm shower) is extracting yourself from those cosy sheets and blankets. A snooze button within arm's reach certainly doesn't make things any easier, so the folks behind Snoozle aim to get slow risers up and at 'em with an alarm clock that won't be silenced until you carry it across the room.

Snoozle is actually made up of two parts. There is the alarm clock itself which is just a regular, square-shaped analog timepiece (though it does have an LED display) and then the base. Sleep with the clock next to your bed, and then when the alarm goes off in the morning, you'll find the only way to shut it off is to reunite it with its base.

And because you planned ahead, you placed this base in the kitchen, bathroom or wherever it is you start your day. We suppose you could always place a regular alarm on the other side of the bedroom, or even in the kitchen or bathroom, but if it is both a bedside clock and some morning discipline you're after, then this mightn't be a bad solution.

The team behind Snoozle is looking to raise €44,000 (about US$50,000) on Kickstarter to fund the production of the so-called snooze-proof alarm clock. Early pledges of €44 are available and will have one sent your way in January 2018 if the campaign runs as planned.

You can check out the pitch video below.

Josh!
I like the concept, but I'm afraid alarm clocks are a dead to cell-phones. Perhaps it should just be an app that runs on your cellphone and an low-range BTLE dongle that silences it.
pmshah
You would be even better off than Michael Caine in Ipcress File if you took the same approach. The advantage being that Caine's alarm would silence when the spring winding ran out. With current electronic + electrical alarms if would certainly force you to get out of bed.

For years I have been placing the alarm clock across the room. A clock or a phone. KSS syndrome at its best
Reason
I think you should have one chance to throw it across the room into a base net. One three pointer gets you 30 extra minutes of zzzzzzzzzzzz
