The sticking point is cost, which I suspect will be high. As in, you will probably be able to buy a Corvette and a Nissan Leaf for the price of this thing, with money left over to plant a few trees.

Beautiful cars. Morgan is the Harley of the car world.

Hmmmm I don't like the idea of "branding" and the "NAME" Morgan - I remember the 3 wheelers with the big twin cylinder JAP engine stuck on the front - now that was a great design AND a brand name...
But this recycling of "letters and words" to denote a thing of significance, well it is a vehicle that sort of mostly resembles the earlier models with the same brand name, but...
And that is about it.
But yeah - it is built well and it looks as if it is a great car.....

Another over priced under performing car. Well at least this one is in a pretty skin.

If it keeps the children happy, why not? It is a pretty colour which I am sure it will match some of their Lego bricks.

It doesn't poison the atmosphere where it is being driven. The pollution as a result of powering this car happened where the electricity was produced. Unless this it was recharged by solar panels.

re "So you can have a V8 which rumbles and grunts, or maybe, you can have one with 200 bhp less that is almost as much fun, whisper quiet and doesn't poison the atmosphere."
I thought the whole point of a Morgan is the Rumble! Get a Prius or Ampera etc if you want the Electric experience!

Yup why not? Neat car with a very high tech heart. Love the painted dash. These days it is difficult for specialty car makers even with the rich history Morgan has to keep it fresh and keep the unimaginative public engaged... I can give you all the arguments either side but in reality electric is the new automotive frontier, and it will just keep getting better as the technology improves. From a former +4 owner who has also restored several Morgans for other folks... Rock on Morgan

JSimpson is right: Can it lure some away from fuel-thirsty Ferraris, or worse, a lot good will come out of it. Bet it will be costlier than a 'normal' Morgan, no doubt, but what a cute gadget to cruise around in!

I like the idea and look of the car, BUT not the wheels. Those wheels in my opinion do not at all go with that body style. They need something that looks more retro like the body style. I'm sure they could get something to fit over those modern massive disc brakes. To me I feel they got lazy on that design point.
