The PlyFly Go-Kart is a flatpack go-kart that's powered by a 4-stroke engine. The wooden vehicle can be assembled in just a few hours, and promises speeds of up to 25 mph (40 km/h). It's currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign.

Florida-based Cubicco's line of flatpack homes are tougher than they look, and are rated to withstand hurricane wind speeds of up to 180 mph (290 km/h). They're also green too, and come with a number of sustainable options, including rainwater harvesting and solar power.

Everyone loves the idea of flat-pack furniture arriving and not having to dig around for hex keys and tubes of glue to put it together. Designer Ruthy Shafrir is taking this tool-free approach but also focusing on geometric strength, with a snap-together shelving unit inspired by a bee hive.
