Still trying to get over my angst with the no grill look, otherwise looks great.

One truly has to give it to Tesla and their hype: They have managed to make a cheap and insanely unsafe car - basically an iPhone with wheels - and get people to plonk $50k for it. One can only hope that they are soon bankrupted by wrongful death lawsuits before too many die.

Is he a genius or a crook ??? Stay tuned !

Since when is $35,000 an affordable car with a number of decent hybrids in the $20-30,000 range???

Still asking why an electric car has to cost so much. Couldn't they make a modern Model 'T' with modern safety features?

35-45 grand used to buy a very decent high-end car. Still, the Tesla brand has been carefully promoted for coolness and no doubt, there will be buyers more than ready to plunk their money into this latest machine. Actually, the smart folks will opt for a hybrid because that still makes the most sense for the next 5-10 years.

For whatever reason they stuck with that bad lip job of a front (really hideous). And the multifunction screen is a forgettable proposition design wise. Otherwise, it looks quite fine. Certainly, looking more premium than "a kind of" similarly priced Bolt.

But all the cars designed today are butt ugly.
It's time to revisit the designs of the 1930s and 50s since the drive trains allowed by EVs drastically alter constraints on designs and the addition of solar means you don't need such aerodynamic designs to be frugal with energy--after all the sun is free and solar is clean and most speeds are under 50 mph anyway and so pushing a little extra air around is no big deal.

If EV lovers REALLY want to see the end of ICE lovers world and an end to all fossil fuel cars they just need to design really artful beautiful cars like they used to--when oil was cheap and plentiful--in a world where solar is cheap and all cars are charged via the sun using Tesla solar powered super charger network.

"All cars are fitted with the eight cameras, forward-facing radar and ultrasonic sensors required for the company's semi-autonomous cruise control, but the functionality is software locked if owners don't want to spend the extra money."
Thanks for wasting materials and resources adding something that not everyone wants. What a waste.
