High-end camera marque Hasselblad has gathered together tools and accessories photographers might need to get the best from its X1D mirrorless medium format camera, and put them all in a tough Pelican case. The X1D Field Kit comes with the $9,000 camera, three lenses, spare batteries, cleaning materials and straps. And yes, it's expensive.

Due for release later this month, the centerpiece of the Field Kit is of course the pro-level X1D-50c, with a 50 megapixel CMOS (43.8 x 32.9 mm) sensor, low light-friendly ISO range, XGA electronic viewfinder, 24-bit TFT touch display panel, GPS module and built-in Wi-Fi. F3.5 30 mm, F3.5 45 mm and F3.2 90 mm XCD lenses are also included for shooting flexibility.

Keeping gear spick and span while out and about is helped along by the provision of a cleaning cloth, dust blower and lens pen. Photographers have camera carry options in the shape of a shoulder strap and a wrist strap, two spare camera batteries ensure that the compact and lightweight X1D is always ready to shoot, and a USB cable rounds out the kit components. All equipment and accessories fit neatly into a supplied Pelican carry case sporting a custom-cut foam insert.

The X1D Field Kit is up for pre-order now, for a suggested retail price of ... US$17,495. Shipping is expected to start on September 20.
