The pair then drove back to London in them. The pair even produced a documentary on the infamous Carrera Panamericana a few years back. The Bonhams' Goodwood Festival of Speed sale always attracts a top line-up of collectible cars and interesting automobilia and this year's auction included the sale of several "celebrity cars" previously owned by Pink Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour, comedian Peter Sellers and rock star Elton John. In the end only one of the celebrity cars sold, but the diversity of the lots makes for some fascinating reading.
