Koenigsegg has carved a nice into the hypercar world with staggeringly quick hypercars like the Agera and, more recently, Regera. Now, an orange and black slice of that Swedish insanity is headed stateside in the form of the Agera XS.

One of the world's most impressive cars, the Koenigsegg Agera, is making its way toward retirement. No need to get teary eyed for the loss, though; the even more extreme Regera will soon step in as the official Koenigsegg to be seen in.

Koenigsegg is pretty much sitting at the top of the heap of boutique supercars. The best argument to support this is sitting on the show stand at Geneva right now. It's called the Koenigsegg Agera RS, its engine cranks out a staggering 1,160-hp and everything on it is designed and built in house.

The Koenigsegg Agera R which has been reworked for the 2013 model year, raising peak horsepower to 1140 bhp, giving it a top speed of 440 km/h (273 mph) which Koenigsegg will attempt to prove sometime soon.

The new production Koenigsegg Agera R features the manufacturers's own 5 liter V8 bi-turbo producing 1100 bhp on E85 fuel but the car's most notable feature is a Thule Roof Box which ensures you can take it skiing with all your gear.
