110 year-old electric car sells for $95,000

A real automotive rarity went under the hammer at Bonhams over the weekend with the only known 1905 Woods Queen Victoria Brougham selling for DKK632,500 (US$94,548) as part of the Frederiksen auction at Ebeltoft, Denmark.

Retromobile preview: The barnfind of the century finally goes to auction

The Paris/Retromobile round of collectible car and bike auctions gets underway this week with sales by Artcurial, Bonhams and RM. Though dozens of cars will sell for more than a million dollars, the world's most important barnfind, the Baillon Collection, will be the star of the show.

The Pratte Collection auctioned last week, is best known for containing Carroll Shelby’s 800 hp Super Snake Cobra, the 1954 Pontiac Bonneville Concept car and the GM Futurliner, but it also contained one of the largest collection of childrens' cars ever assembled. More than 70 went to auction and they'll make you drool.
