Cars are a depreciating asset. We’ve all heard this at one point or another. But when you pit ICE against EVs, which of the two depreciates faster? A new study is sure to turn a few heads.

The depreciation of the value of a car is often the largest part of the cost of ownership, and ALG's Annual Residual Value Awards are a strong indication of how much a car will depreciate.

The latest edition of Parker's annual depreciation report surveys 300 model ranges in the UK market, and lists their value in good condition with 10,000 miles on the clock one year later. Accordingly, the depreciation cost of one year for every model can be calculated.
