The HP4 Race that BMW teased at the EICMA 2016 show is now going into a limited production run of 750 hand assembled units, complete with all carbon frame and wheels and ​a 158 kW ​power plant.

There's so much to be excited about with this Aero bike: massive electric performance with a 5-speed transmission. Light weight. Some of the sexiest looks in e-motodom. But its range, and the astronomic pricetag we expect, will keep it out of serious contention. Pity, we kinda want one.

The Piaggio Group has announced that possibly the most iconic scooter of them all is about to go electric. The Vespa Elettrica concept has been revealed at EICMA in Milan, Italy, this week.

It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of all the nakeds and concepts released at EICMA, but there are also plenty of interesting things going on in the world of scooters. Take the Yamaha TMAX 530, which has been given an electric throttle and a lighter frame for a more engaging ride.

Another surprise from KTM at this year's EICMA expo in Milan: "The Prototype." Featuring an all-new 790cc parallel twin, the compact, lightweight Duke 790 seems set to fill the space between the single cylinder Duke 690 and the fire-breathing 1290 Super Duke R.

Still out in front of the performance electric motorcycle market by far, Zero Motorcycles has beefed up its entire range with IPM motors, boosted power and torque, and a few little surprises for 2017. The entire range has just been unveiled at EICMA Milan.

It's been 25 years since Honda sent the motorcycle world into an ever-escalating nuclear arms race with the original Fireblade. Now, the flagship superbike gets a 10-horsepower boost, drops 33 pounds and goes fully electronic to put it back in the hunt with the top dogs in the open class.
