Lotus has unveiled the the GT410 Sport, which replaces the Evora Sport 410, bringing with it a 3.9-second 0-60 mph sprint. With a ridiculously low dry weight and an equally mind-boggling horsepower to weight ratio, the Evora GT410 Sport really wiggles the eyebrows.

With 430 hp from its supercharged engine, the limited edition Evora GT430 is the most powerful production car Lotus has ever made, but there's a lot more to it than just a power boost. Lotus has treated the car to a comprehensive makeover, resulting in a much more focused beast than the base Evora.​

The Lotus Evora has only been Stateside for a year, but already Americans are demanding more power and lightness. The Evora Sport 410 GP Edition aims to address those demands, and adds in a gorgeous retro paint job for good measure.

Compared to most cars the Evora 400 is a stripper with little regard for comfort, but the wizards working at Lotus think more weight can be saved. Having applied their considerable nous to a new set of options, engineers at Hethel have shed a further 42 kg (93 lb) from the car.

Lotus finds itself, yet again, approaching dire financial straights. It needs a hit, a palpable hit, and it has chosen to update, up-rate and subtly alter its Evora sportscar for even more bang throughout the performance envelope.
