Italdesign Giugiaro

  • In honor of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo DaVinci's death, Italdesign is showcasing a new car named after the great master. A battery-electric Gran Turismo that seats four, the "project for the future" conceptual is nearly production-ready.
  • After covering major international auto shows throughout 2017, we've seen a lot of concept cars. Our favorites of 2017 include past icons reinvented as vehicles of the future, electrifying ultra-premiums, hard-to-define segment-benders and utterly insane hypercars.
  • Italdesign is no stranger to show-stopping special editions, but the Zerouno must be among its prettiest designs. Having launched in Geneva, the first example has arrived with a lucky owner in Italy. And soak up the very public handover, because you shouldn't expect to see the car on public roads.
  • The fruits of a collaboration between Airbus and Italdesign, the new Pop.Up concept blurs the line between self-driving car and VTOL flying car. Its removable passenger cell can drive on the ground or fly through the air with the help of modular power systems. Is this the future of commuting?
  • Even with design houses like Pininfarina, Touring Superleggera and Italdesign focused all or in part on limited edition production cars, this year's Geneva Motor Show was still an explosion of concept cars of all styles and stripes. Join us as we take a photo tour of all these concepts.
  • Italdesign has an impressive back catalogue of Geneva specials, but the storied design house has upped the ante in anticipation of the 2017 show. The (as-yet unnamed) special edition signals the debut of the Italdesign Automobili Speciali brand, with a bespoke body wrapped around an Audi V10.
  • Italdesign Giugiaro has had a very nice string of Geneva show cars – last year's GEA autonomous concept, 2014's Clipper electric MPV, and 2013's Parcour off-road sports coupe. This year, it adds the GTZero, a modular, all-electric grand tourer packed with innovation.
  • As cars move gradually towards becoming fully automated, it won't just be the way we operate them that will be different. Rinspeed and Mercedes, for example, have both explored the how car design and use may change. Now, Italdesign Giugiaro has imagined what automobile luxury may mean in the future.
  • Italdesign Giugiaro’s Clipper MPV concept car was unveiled last week at the Geneva Motor Show. The four-wheel drive, six-seater with fully independent all-electric drive sports a design based on a study of future cities and is billed by the maker as a “veritable automotive research design lab.”
  • The year was a big one for high-tech, high-price supercar hardware, seeing the restart of several iconic lineages, extravagant special- edition birthday presents, and numerous all-new start-ups with intriguing ideas. Many of these cars really scream out with wildly unique styling.
  • A super-crossover, off-road supercoupe, super-sport utility vehicle ... whatever you want to call it, the Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept brings us one step closer. This 544-hp concept made its debut at this week's Frankfurt Motor Show.
  • A new hybrid-electric concept car from PROTON featuring a Lotus Engineering drivetrain will debut in Geneva next month.
