Mitsubishi Motors has today announced that it is to enter two electric cars into this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, taking place this July - a production i-MiEV and a specially-developed i-MiEV Evolution.

The Tata Indica Vista EV will hit the market early in 2011, carries four people, can run 150 miles on a charge and is based on an existing car that sells for USD$9000.

Mitsubishi will unveil the North American version of its i-MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle) that boasts an enlarged body at the Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) this week.
