​​Proterra has made some big strides with its long-range electric bus in the past year or so, and we will soon see how it fares in the real world, with the LA Department of Transportation (LADOT) buying 25 of the zero-emission buses as part of a shift toward greener public transit. ​

​Proterra's electric buses have been impressing since they rolled onto the scene a couple of years ago. The company has now announced a new dual-motor drivetrain, which it says will further increase the power and efficiency of its battery-electric buses.
