California-based Alta Motors has announced its 2018 Redshift lineup, and while performance is up, prices are down by up to US$4,500. With up front cost still being a major barrier to new buyers, this news could be huge for electric motorcycles.

BRD Motorcycles' 2013 RedShift range of off-road electric motorcycles are claimed to have the performance of a top-end 250cc four-stroke race motorcycle, and there's even a "stealth" police version.

BRD is throwing its hat into the rapidly expanding electric motorcycle ring.
