Safdie Architects

Commissioned to design a cutting-edge medical center, Safdie Architects has arranged the facility around a large atrium that's filled with greenery. The building is defined by generous glazing, which includes an impressive domed glass roof.

Skybridges aren't a new idea, but rarely are they used as ambitiously as for the nine towers of the Orca Toronto project by Safdie Architects, most of which will be connected by skybridges to allow for easy movement between buildings.

Moshe Safdie's latest project sees his firm return to a museum it completed a decade ago. The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art expansion will involve increasing available floorspace for the facility by bridging a body of water.
