In the dying embers of a British summer Bentley sponsored the first Concours of Elegance on the immaculate lawns of Windsor Castle in the U.K. The turnout of special, rare and very valuable classic cars from England, Germany, Italy, France and even the U.S. was extremely good. Click through to check out the extensive picture gallery of these spectacular vehicles on show in the late sunshine.
A significant number of the cars taking part in the Concours, including six remarkable Bentleys such as the staggeringly beautiful Embiricos and W.O. Bentley’s masterpiece the 8 Litre saloon, have been sourced from private or manufacturer collections as well as overseas museums and have been seldom shown in public.
The Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance and its sponsors supported several key charitable organisations dedicated to helping children and their carers facing life threatening or limiting illnesses including The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
