Fisher Price has developed a kid's digital camera that is not only durable and drop resistant but has a built-in automatic flash and can hold up to 60 photographs with its 8MB of built-in memory. Designed for little hands, the Kid-Tough has dual handgrips and big buttons and the controls are simple enough for a three year old to understand. The viewfinder has two-eye viewing which allows for easier focusing and the 1.3” color LCD preview screen allows kids to see the picture they have just taken.

The Fisher Price Kid-Tough comes with PhotoShow software to view, manage and edit digital pictures but it may also be compatible with your existing photo software. Once the Kid-Tough is connected via USB cable, your child will be able to delete, copy and print their digital images.

A wrist strap makes the 5 1/2" W x 4" H unit easy to carry and the in-built memory is enough for to 60 photographs. You can also purchase an additional SD memory card if your kid is really snap-happy.

With 640 x 480 resolution for 4" x 6" prints, it’s not going to produce the greatest photos in the world but if it means no more sticky fingers on your high-end SLR then it may be well worth the USD$70 investment.

Kid-Tough comes in pink or blue and additional face plates and cases can be purchased for USD$15. Having fun with images has come a long way since the View-Master!
