Earlier this year, Jeep announced that it would be releasing limited edition models of its entire lineup to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Today, it's provided a little more info of how the 75th Anniversary special edition of its Wrangler will shape up.

The current Wrangler line-up has seen its existing 2.8-l diesel engine updated to meet Euro 6 emission standards, while its different variants have each received additional enhancements. All variants have received front side airbags, while the Sahara and Overland also now have a 3.73 rear axle ratio.

Elsewhere, the Sahara alone has 18-in polished satin alloy wheels, both Sahara and the Rubicon now have deep-tint sunscreen glass and the Rubicon alone has 18-in Rubicon satin alloy wheels, Mopar slush mats and black, heated leather seats.

The Wrangler 75th Anniversary is based on the Overland model, but has a number additions and differences. It too now has 18-in alloy wheels, Mopar slush mats and deep tinted sunscreen glass.

Color-wise, it's available in Bright White, Solid Black or Sarge Green and there's a bronze-finished front grille, a body-coloured dual top and bronze and orange Jeep badging. There's also a special 75th Anniversary badge.

Inside, occupants are treated to heated leather seats in black or saddle brown and tangerine, with "1941," the year Jeep went into production, embossed into the upholstery. There are also bronze accents on the air vents and grab handles, satnav and an Alpine sound system.

These features are listed for the 85 Wrangler 75th Anniversary models that are UK-bound. It's not clear whether the exact same feature-set will be rolled out elsewhere, but we can assume that there will be some overlap at the very least.

The Wrangler 75th Anniversary was first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It will start at £34,765 (US$46,265) in the UK.
