Spending many hours in front of a computer screen battling demons and monsters or laying waste to enemy outposts can really take it out of your poor keyboard. Swedish high-end gaming accessory manufacturer Mionix believes that the rage-proof durability of its new mechanical keyboard should give you the means to tackle any gaming marathon with confidence.

The Zibal 60 gaming keyboard is said to have a 50 million keystroke lifespan, a tough steel frame and wear-resistant laser-printed caps. The USB-cabled Windows I/O device benefits from non-tactile black cherry MX linear mechanical switches mounted on 18k gold-plated switch connectors, green LED backlighting with three lighting modes and multi-level illumination, and, unlike the Isku keyboard from ROCCAT, has a detachable wrist rest.

Media control keys offer shortcuts to desktop functions, and a dedicated Mionix Action Key provides access to lighting and media controls. Gamers will appreciate the six key rollover functionality which allows for simultaneous keystrokes across the keyboard, and the inclusion of connect through audio in and out ports and a two port USB 2.0 hub.

The 17.5 x 8.1 x 1.7-inch (444 x 206 x 44 mm) Zibal 60 will be available from June at a suggested retail price of US$149.99.
