Orange Amplification has announced the arrival of OPC triplets. For the Mark IV release, Orange has divided its musician's computer into Studio, Professional and Ultimate editions, each coming with the same impressive suite of player-friendly software, but packing slightly different hardware configurations.

The newly-widened range starts with the Studio edition. This model features an Intel Core i5-4440 quad-core processor clocked at 3.1 GHz, 4 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, and a 500 GB HDD spinning at 7200 RPM. It has a 5.1 stereo line out port, coaxial and optical S/PDIF outputs, two 0.25-in TRS outputs and two 0.25-in TRS inputs, and two 0.25-in TRS instrument jacks.

Orange has added two more PCI Express ports, and users can connect the brightly-colored box to a big screen monitor or TV via the VGA, HDMI or DVI ports. To ensure players get the best tone and low latency performance from the twin 6.5-in JBL studio monitor speakers, the company uses its native OPC audio to bypass the operating system driver. Dedicated GPU options are also available.

The Windows 8.1 computer comes shipped with full versions of IK Multimedia's excellent AmpliTube 3 digital effects and modeling suite (with special Orange Amp additions), PreSonus Studio One, Mixcraft 6, Toontrack EZdrummer Lite and the LickLibrary Guitar Lesson Center. A wired keyboard and mouse are also in the box.

The next model up is the Professional edition, which has a Core i5-4570 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 3.2 GHz, 8 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 system memory, and 1 TB of 7200 RPM HDD storage.

The leader of the new OPC pack is the Ultimate model, which boasts a 3.5 GHz Core i7-4771 quad-core processor, 16 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, and 2 TB of 7200 RPM HDD and 250 GB of SSD storage.

We've no word on pricing or availability at the time of writing, but will update this post when that information flows through.

Update 3 Feb 2014: Orange Amps has now confirmed that US pricing for the OPC Studio will be US$1,779, the OPC Professional will come in at $2,149, and the OPC Ultimate edition will cost $3,199.
