  • The Subaru WRX was literally named after World Rallycross. It's the car that wins championships. It's also street-legal, in the form of the base WRX and its race-ready STI brother. Gizmag drove both of them with white-knuckled abandon.
  • Few things can elicit the kind of drooling amongst American muscle car fans that a Dodge Challenger GT with all-wheel drive can. Unfortunately the Challenger GT AWD being shown at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer’s Association show in Las Vegas is just such a concept.

  • Dutch company Revit describes itself as "being on a never-ending quest to develop motorcycle gear that can be taken as far as you want to travel". Within this scope, the promotion of its Spring/Summer 2015 collection in the USA centers around an AWD custom build based on KTM’s 950 Super Enduro.
  • Back in February, Rolls-Royce announced its plans to manufacture "a vehicle that can cross any terrain." While we're still waiting to see what that vehicle will look like, the automaker has provided photos of the "engineering mule" that it's using to develop the all-wheel drive suspension system.
  • The Mercedes G-Class is 35 years old, and the German manufacturer is celebrating with the aptly-named G-Class Edition 35 models. Both the G 350 BlueTEC Edition 35 and G 500 Edition 35 are fitted with small styling changes inside and out, to help them stand out from the standard models.
  • Tesla took the wraps off its much rumored Model D tonight and the results look impressive. The new S P85D will run an AWD setup and put out a whopping 691 hp and 687 lb. ft. of torque. It will also feature new driver-assist systems including an auto-pilot solution for parking.
  • Having seen the sumptuous collection of angles and curves that is the Lamborghini Huracán in person during its North American debut a few months back, I was just slightly pleased to learn I’d be driving the 610 hp specimen out of Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata this month.
  • With the New York Auto Show just around the corner, manufacturers are beginning to leak details of some of their new offerings. BMW will be on hand next week with not one but two new models: the M4 Convertible, with its 425 hp twin-turbo engine, and the mid-range crossover in the form of the X4.
  • At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen was determined to show a few different looks for all-wheel-powered vehicles with off-road intentions. It revealed a utility convertible in the T-ROC concept and also debuted the Multivan Alltrack concept, an AWD van for "all roads and any track."
  • Set to debut in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, the EcoTrac Disconnecting AWD driveline system is designed to improve fuel efficiency by disengaging components from the driveline when not required, so that only power is delivered to the front wheels.
  • Lamborghini chose the flight deck of the Italian naval aircraft carrier Nave Cavour for the public debut of the limited edition Veneno Roadster this week in Abu Dhabi. Only nine of the vehicles will be built next year, with each selling for €3.3 million (approx. US$4.5 million) – not including tax.
