Designed to give sportsmen and outdoor explorers a motor-powered means of reaching more distant waters, the MOKAI ES-Kape is an innovative boat with an integrated jet drive system. It breaks into three pieces that nest inside each other, allowing it to fit inside an SUV.

It can be difficult for boats to stand out at an expo center segmented into row after row of seafaring vessels and marine hardware. One that did grab our attention at the 2014 Boot Dusseldorf show is the new Frauscher 858 Fantom, a V8-powered craft inspired by German and Italian sports cars.

In January, Gizmag traveled around Germany to the Boot Dusseldorf and ISPO Munich shows. We've covered many of our finds already, but both shows were so filled with new gear and innovation, we combined some of the remaining ones into a large gallery.

The largest electric-powered boat we saw at last month's Boot Dusseldorf show, the 23-foot (6.9-m) Energy 23cs from Slovenia's Alfastreet Marine, has a few tricks up its sleeve.

First, we saw the JetLev-Flyer, then the Flyboard, and now the X-Jetpack H3X Hydro joins the fray. More than just a "me too" competitor in the water jetpack market, the H3X offers a few key evolutionary advantages.

Billed as the "first hybrid crossover boat," the all-new Ethos E30 from Milano's Azure Embark uses a modular design to transform for all kinds of purposes. It's a fishing boat, pleasure cruiser, water sports platform and more.

The Supiore from Dutch boat manufacturer Supiore is an all-electric tender filled with innovation and customization. The stylish boat that was on show at boot Dusseldorf lets up to seven people enjoy a quiet, relaxing day on the water.

Dutch outfit Aquacrafts employs inflatable design to help cut down on some of the expenses associated with boating, offering a sailboat that's much easier to transport and store. The 3-in-1 boat can also float under man and motor power.
