Fender Stratocaster

  • ​HBO's adaptation on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire has entered its final season, and to bid the epic fantasy TV series a fond farewell, Fender's Custom Shop has created three special guitars dubbed the Game of Thrones Sigil Collection.​
  • ​​If you want a guitar that's dripping with history then you can either hit the auctions or grab yourself an instrument made using wood from old buildings. Fender has chosen the latter for a limited edition Telecaster from Yuriy Shishkov​ that makes use of bench boards from the Hollywood Bowl.​

Loosely based on Fender's Stratocaster, the Travelcaster has no body showing beyond the pickguard yet offers full scale playability.​
  • ​Around this time last year, we featured a jaw-dropping Prestige Collection Telecaster based on an 18th century pocket watch. Fender's Yuriy Shishkov has been raiding the company's jewelry box again, this time to produce the Strat-shaped Studioliner that riffs off of a 1930s Kodak camera.
  • ​Fender has introduced a new online tool that allows musicians to customize a new build to match their individual needs. Players can choose from four base models and then modify the design by choosing from over 70,000 options. The guitar is then built and shipped out within a month.
  • Ex-military man and accomplished luthier Dean Fraser from Chorley in Lancashire, UK, has spent the last couple of years up to his ears in sticks and glue to create the stunning 1954 Fender Stratocaster tribute guitar.
  • We've seen many examples of cardboard breaking out of its box, including a rolling Lexus, play furniture for kids, and a bike and helmet. But the crazy folks over at Signal Snowboards and Ernest Packaging have teamed up with the Fender Custom Shop to build a one-off Strat that really rocks.
