The Seoul Metropolitan Government has revealed plans to build the world's largest spokeless Ferris wheel. The huge metallic ring will rise an impressive 180 m over the South Korean landscape, and host almost 1,500 passengers per hour.

The world's "largest observation wheel" is set to open in New York in 2018. The aptly-named "New York Wheel" was due to open next year, but the scale of the project has required that the launch date be pushed back. When it does open, visitors will be able to take in views out across New York Bay.

Visitors to Las Vegas now have a new way to take in the famous Las Vegas Strip with the official opening of the world's tallest observation wheel. Standing 550 ft (167.6 m) tall, the High Roller is 9 ft (2.7 m) taller than the previous record holder, the 541-ft (164.8 m) tall Singapore Flyer.
