Scientists at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center have discovered a tiny protein in scorpion venom that naturally accumulates in cartilage, opening up new possibilities for more targeted treatment of arthritis.

Researchers are reporting a significant advance in using immunotherapy to fight cancer, with early experiments using the technique on advanced blood cancer patients producing "unprecedented" response rates of more than 93 percent.
