After promising a Tesla Fighter in 2015, LeEco, the Chinese tech company formerly known as Letv, has made the first highly visible step toward that goal, revealing a sporty, in-house-developed electric sedan concept at a big Beijing product reveal .

Aston Martin and Chinese technology company LeTV (now known as LeEco), have reinforced their partnership by signing a deal that will see an all-electric Rapide on the market by 2018.

This year's CES showed that commuter and luxury cars are undergoing a small digital revolution. Even high-end sports cars got in on the action. Aston Martin collaborated with Chinese tech firm LeTV in adding some serious touchscreen to its Rapid S.

Following a questionable marketing campaign in which it compared Apple to Hitler, (and subsequently apologized), LeTV, a Chinese company better known for its video streaming services, has arrived in the US to highlight its move into the smartphone arena with "Le Superphone".
