Manchester-based GPO says it made one out of every 10 turntables sold during the UK's holiday period in 2016. Until now it's product catalog was made up of budget audio equipment, but it's now aiming at cost-savvy audiophiles with the new premium, yet wallet-friendly, PR range.

​Cassettes might not have the largest capacity or best sound quality, but they ooze retro appeal. Tapping into that hipster market is the Mixxtape, a portable Bluetooth music player that’s not only shaped like a cassette, it also plays in an old-school tape deck – if you still have one lying around.

We've seen some interesting waterproof music players before, but Apple strangely hasn't created an iPod aimed at swimmers just yet. That's why we're reviewing an iPod Shuffle that's been waterproofed by Underwater Audio, which the company claims can withstand depths up to 200 ft (70 m).
