New laser weapon turns infantry into drone killers

Laser weapons have become super portable. Defense and security company NUBURU says it has adapted industrial laser technology to create an anti-drone laser weapon small and light enough to fit on an infantry rifle.

Canada's next-generation military smart gun unveiled

The latest integrated assault rifle developed by Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) and Colt Canada is packed with some very smart weapons technology, including a secondary grenade launcher or shotgun and electronic accessories like electro-optical sights and position sensors.

In 2009, the L115A3 sniper rifle was used in the most prodigious feat of marksmanship in military history – three consecutive strikes from 2.47 km in combat. Now a British sniper in Afghanistan has reportedly killed six insurgents with one bullet from 850 meters using the L115A3.
