Sena has further extended the capabilities of its popular motorcycle Bluetooth headsets with a pair of new 50-series helmet comms devices offering mesh networking, fast charging, automatic updates and louder, bassier speakers than the 30K.

​Back in 2016, Sena unveiled its Bluetooth intercom-equipped Smart Helmet, which allowed multiple cyclists to communicate while riding. It became the mountain biking-oriented Sena X1, with the road-oriented R1 coming out just recently. The company sent us a pair of the latter to try for ourselves.

We've been hanging out for this one; Sena has been making excellent motorcycle Bluetooth comms systems for many years, and now it has started manufacturing its own, fully integrated smart helmets. We've been riding with the Momentum for a few weeks, here are our impressions.

Sena has released dates and pricing for its new motorcycle Bluetooth range, including an upgraded 30K intercom and a series of smart helmets with built-in communications and video gear. Oh, and the show-stopping Intelligent Noise Control helmet, which has active wind noise cancellation.

Known primarily for its wide range of add-on Bluetooth communication devices, Sena has introduced the first motorcycle half-helmet with integrated coms system. The Cavalry incorporates a discretely pre-wired Bluetooth setup, featuring the basic technologies one would expect in a Sena communicator.

Built on the foundations of the 20S, the 30K introduces a new model family of motorcycle Bluetooth communication systems. With the addition of adaptive mesh networking technology, Sena’s new flagship model opts for uninterrupted group connections even when any number of members falls out of range.

Sena has unveiled its new smart helmet for cyclists, which includes a QHD camera, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in speakers and an intercom system for keeping in touch with fellow riders.

Riding a motorcycle at highway speeds inevitably entails the constant buzzing of pressurized air forcing its way through the helmet’s ventilation channels. Sena’s Intelligent Noise-Cancelling helmet promises to filter out the useless noise, while keeping the rider in touch with his surroundings.

Sena's 10C packs the features of the SMH-10 Bluetooth headset and the Prism action camera into one compact headset unit that handles intercom, music, phone, FM radio, photos and video recording into one. After just a few days with it, we're happy to proclaim it the best gadget Sena's made to date.

Sena's excellent 20S Bluetooth headset is my daily driver these days, and now there's an action camera to go with it. The Prism is a 1080p/30 fps camera designed specifically for motorcycle use, and it links up with the 20S to take advantage of the headset's audio capabilities.
