Late last week, Nissan unveiled the latest version of its Murano crossover at the New York International Auto Show. It offers some appealing new features, and is reportedly 16 percent more aerodynamic than the previous model.

Starting at the front of the 2015 Nissan Murano, some of the features include a lower grille shutter that opens and closes to enhance aerodynamic efficiency, LED daytime running lights, and aerodynamic side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals.

In back, there's a bumper surface that's designed to direct airflow away from the vehicle, dual chrome exhaust pipes, rear tire air deflectors, LED tail lights, and the option of a power liftgate.

Elsewhere on the vehicle, features include a Power Panoramic Moonroof that extends over the front and rear seats, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels (20-inchers are optional), available power folding rear seats, and the option of a four-camera 360-degree Around View Monitor.

Inside, there are heated and cooled power-adjustable seats, a heated steering wheel, a 7-inch customizable Advanced Driver Assist Display, an 8-inch multitouch infotainment display, and an integrated smartphone storage/charging system. Additionally, the seats are designed using Nissan's "NASA-inspired" Zero Gravity technology, which is claimed to reduce fatigue.
