The Cobra Wallet is an incredibly thin wallet designed to carry your credit cards and cash. What really makes it special, however, is the fact that it can also be used as a stand for your smartphone. The wallet can hold your phone horizontally or vertically. This makes it perfect for watching videos without holding your device or using FaceTime or Skype to video chat with family and friends. You can also put the rear camera forward and use it to take pictures with yourself in the shot.
As a wallet, the Cobra Wallet can hold up to eight credit cards. It also has a hidden pocket where you can fold up a few bills and keep them safe if you are using it as a stand for your smartphone. After all, you probably don't want your cash on display if you are showing other people videos on your phone.
The wallet includes a stainless steel core that is designed with two purposes – it blocks RFID scanners from picking up cards in the wallet, while also keeping the wallet rigid. The rest of the Cobra is made with thermoplastic polyurethane, a material that's commonly used in smartphone cases.
The Cobra Wallet is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. Early supporters can grab a black wallet for US$35. After that, a black wallet will run $39 with other colors costing $49. The limited edition green is $55 and the gold is $69. The project's funding period ends October 21 and the developers estimate the wallets to be delivered in January, as long as they meet their $30,000 goal.
