A toolbox isn't something you'd ever think of as being "cool." After all, it's designed to be a simple repository for your tools, nothing more, nothing less. Unless, that is, we're talking about Coolbox, a toolbox with more than a few tricks up its sleeve.
Coolbox, which seems to haven taken its cue both in name and functionality from the Coolest cooler, does carry your tools for you. However, it also does a lot more besides. For those who need a functional toolbox, Coolbox offers a capacity of 1797 cubic inches (29.4 liters). But it's the extras that somewhat justify the price.
Coolbox features, in no particular order, a magnetic lid to help prevent lost nuts and screws, a tablet stand, an LED floodlight, a whiteboard, a power bar, USB ports, Bluetooth speakers, a digital clock, and a bottle opener. It also comes with suitcase-style wheels and dual handles, both designed to make it easier to maneuver.

Its designers are currently raising production funds on Indiegogo. Early adopters can, at the time of writing, secure the promise of a Coolbox for a pledge of US$169. Shipping is between $19 (for buyers in the US) and $99 (for international buyers), with delivery expected in June 2015 – assuming it reaches production.
The video below shows some of the real-world uses for Coolbox and its range of features.
