Something we're seeing more of these days are wearable lifelogging cameras, designed to record every moment of our lives. We recently saw the ParaShoot hit the market, and now its creators are introducing NewViewWear – a line of clothing that accommodates an included lifelogging camera.

What makes NewViewWear stand out from the other lifelogging products on the market is the fact that the camera is made to fit right inside the user's clothes, making it more convenient and less noticeable. This also could make things seem a little shady, as the people you encounter throughout your daily life are not likely to notice that you are wearing a device that records them.

The tiny 1080p camera is one of the smallest that can record in Full HD, coming in at a weight of just under one ounce (28.3 g). This means the user can slide it into the tiny pocket on the inside of the shirt and not feel encumbered by it throughout the day. It's also only 50 mm (1.9 in) tall, 36 mm (1.4 in) wide, and 10 mm (0.39 in) deep.

The camera features several recording modes to accommodate different users' needs. It has a continuous mode that just records everything until the user stops it. This will, of course, require a great deal of time to go through the footage at the end of the day. It can also capture time lapse photos, which will give users a taste of what happened without hours and hours of footage to sift through. The last two modes are variations of loop recording. One just records video loops, and the other lets the user tap the camera twice to take a 5MP photo and three times to save the last five minutes of footage.

As for the actual clothes, the team is offering three shirt styles – a hoodie, a polo, and a fleece. All are unisex, so both men and women can enjoy recording every aspect of their lives. The creators also promise flexibility, with the camera being able to be used with dashboard mounts, on lanyards, and in plenty of other ways outside of the pockets. An 800 mAh li-ion battery is included, with an optional wearable battery pack for extended use. The creators did not cite exactly how many hours of recording this would yield, but it's safe to assume that since this is a device designed to record all day, it would last at least that long.

The camera has Wi-Fi, which allows it to connect to the companion app for quick viewing of recorded videos and photos. The app also has social sharing functions that allow the user to show the world what they've captured.

New View Wear is seeking funding for its clothing and camera on Indiegogo. It is seeking US$100,000, and it has a ways to go before it meets that goal. Backers interested in pre-ordering the camera, clothes, and accessories can do so for a minimum pledge of $189 while the early specials last. From there, the price jumps to $199 for the same package.

The pitch video below provides more information on the NewViewWear system.

A new pseudo geek psyche affliction, omni-voyeur.

At least this will - mostly - only document (if that is the right word) a person's surrounding area, not be on a stalk to take 24/7 'selfies' of a self-indulgent, self-interested, egoistical geek.
