Sony has added to its range of 3D BRAVIA HDTVs with the announcement of the availability of three new NX810 LCD models. In screen sizes of 46-, 55- and 60-inches the sets all feature Full HD (1080p) resolution and 3D capability. DynamicEdge LED Backlighting with local dimming is employed for improved contrast while Sony’s Motionflow PRO 240Hz Technology is on board to ensure smooth motion for fast moving images.
If you’re struggling to find something to watch the three new NX810 models also include built-in Wi-Fi and access to Sony’s BRAVIA Internet Platform as well as the company’s new movie service, Qriocity, which streams movies on-demand in SD and HD. Rounding off the specs Sony has released is a LightSensor which adjusts the backlight based on the amount of ambient light in the room.
All three NX810 models will be available in September. The 46-inch KDL-46NX810 is priced at about US$3,000. The 50-inch KDL-55NX810 will go for around $3,700, while the 60-inch KDL-60NX810 is priced at around $4,700. Unfortunately those prices don’t seem to include any 3D glasses so you’ll have to shell out a bit extra to make the most of the sets.
However, Sony is including two free Blu-ray titles and a PSN voucher to download stereoscopic 3D games on a PS3 with the purchase of any of the new NX810 models.
