Samsung has announced that AirPlay 2 support​ and an iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will debut on its 2019 Smart TVs to be revealed at CES, while 2018 models will gain these capabilities through a firmware update.

We first heard about AirPlay 2, Apple's upgraded wireless audio protocol, at the WWDC developer conference last year. With today's roll out of iOS 11.4 it's finally here, bringing with it multi-room audio and more advanced pairing capabilities to iPhones, iPads, and the HomePod speaker.

Wren Sound Systems has added a new model to its V5 wireless speaker range. Where the other three units are geared toward either Bluetooth, AirPlay or Play-Fi, the V5US supports all three wireless technologies for "near-universal device compatibility" and lossless audio streaming.

Gizmag reviews the Dolry Hi-Fi Stone from C4 Electronics, which is claimed to be world's first 30-pin adapter compatible with Apple AirPlay, DLNA, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. It essentially transforms a speaker dock or Hi-Fi system sporting a 30-pin connector into a Wi-Fi audio receiver.

High-end audio specialist McIntosh has launched the McAire personal music system featuring Apple's AirPlay wireless technology.

The B&O PLAY Beolit 12 is about the size of a small car battery, weighs 2.8 kg and contains a substantial battery, a digital Class D 120 Watt amplifier, plus two 2" tweeters and a 4" woofer. It also plays seamlessly from IPad/iPhone via AirPlay

Griffin Technology has previewed its new Twenty Audio Amplifier for Airport Express at CES 2012.

Copenhagen-based company Libratone has entered the U.S. market with a couple of AirPlay-enabled speaker systems that can stream audio from iTunes libraries on a Mac or PC, as well as music stored on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
