BigRep

Germany's BigRep has unveiled a design prototype of a sporty little number called Loci made up of 14 3D-printed parts, plus an electric powertrain and self-driving tech. Two more concept variants have also been revealed.

Germany's large-scale 3D printing firm, BigRep, has debuted a number of automotive and e-mobility prototypes at this year's formnext additive manufacturing exhibition, including the world's first 3D-printed working electric motorcycle.​​

​Leave the bike pump at home, you won't be needing it. Berlin-based startup BigRep has signaled a possible end to punctures by 3D printing airless bicycle tires and taking to the streets of the German capital to show them off.​

3D printers are often used to create small mockups of bigger products, but there’s few affordable options for creating true-to-size models or even finished products. BigRep aims to break that boundary with its RepRap-based BigRep ONE 3D printer, which offers over a cubic meter of print space.
