Jaguar F-type

Britain’s Lister Motor Company has rolled out its latest Jaguar-based sportscar​, the Thunder. Touted as the most powerful, and most luxurious road car in Lister's 65-year history​, it is based on the Jaguar F-Type and boasts that car's supercharged V8 and a bespoke exterior and interior.

In January, Jaguar took the lid off its F-type SVR. Now, the company has rolled out more details about it before its public début at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1.​

Using the British Union Jack as inspiration, the Jaguar design team has created a special British Design Edition of the F-Type coupe and convertible. This special edition adds exterior and interior styling points, performance braking, and unique wheels.

The British are a singularly odd bunch when it comes to things automotive. When they fail to amaze, they do an epic job of it, but when they do hit the mark, they do so with such perfection that it’s awe inspiring. The 2016 Jaguar F-Type R Convertible falls squarely into the latter camp.

Following on from my time behind the wheel of a gorgeous F-type V8S roadster a few months back, I recently had the opportunity to drive the less powerful (but equally gorgeous) 380 hp V6S Coupe version of the F-type.

Jaguar has used this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed to reveal it's F-Type Project 7 is making the jump from concept to a limited production run of 250. The fully road-legal two-seater roadster will be the fastest and most powerful production Jaguar ever built.
